In the 13th round of the Prva liga Telemach, NK Olimpija Ljubljana and NK Celje faced off on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, in Stožice. The match ended in a 1:1 draw, which did not significantly change either team’s position in the standings.
Celje found the net through Blaž Kramer in the very first minute, but the referee disallowed the goal after a VAR review due to a marginal offside. Olimpija then took the lead in the 13th minute, when Antonio Marin fired a shot that ended up in Žan Luka Leban’s net after an unfortunate touch by Marko Zabukovnik. In the 36th minute, referee Dejan Mertik awarded a penalty to Celje, which Svit Sešlar confidently converted in the 38th minute to make it 1:1.
In the second half, Celje dominated possession and created more chances, but they were unable to score the winner. Olimpija threatened mainly through counterattacks, and Federico Rose missed a chance to restore the green-and-whites’ lead in the 85th minute. The match was also marked by several controversial refereeing decisions, including Olimpija’s unsuccessful appeal for a penalty after Dino Kojić went down in the box.
After the match, Olimpija sat third in the Prva liga Telemach table with 19 points, while Celje remained in sixth place with 17 points. At the top of the table is FC Koper with 25 points, after beating Maribor 4:0 the previous day and overtaking the Purple Ones.
The next round of the Prva liga Telemach is scheduled for 31 October 2026, when Maribor and Olimpija will meet in a derby that will have a major impact on the league standings.
