Bravo Shock Olimpija with 2–0 Win in Prva Liga Telemach Opener

NK Bravo opened the 2026/27 Prva liga Telemach season with an impressive 2–0 away victory over Olimpija Ljubljana at Stadion Stožice on July 18. Goals from Sandi Nuhanović and Mazie handed Bravo all three points, while Olimpija were left disappointed after a difficult first match of the campaign

Olimpija began the new league season in front of their home supporters at Stadion Stožice, but Bravo showed great organisation and determination from the opening minutes. The visitors were compact in defence and looked dangerous whenever they moved forward.
The first notable incident came in the 17th minute, when Olimpija's Çuni received a yellow card. Bravo continued to apply pressure and were rewarded in the 23rd minute, when Sandi Nuhanović scored to give the visitors a deserved 1–0 lead.
Olimpija attempted to respond after falling behind and looked to use home advantage to find an equaliser. However, Bravo remained disciplined, limiting the Green-Whites' opportunities and protecting their narrow advantage until the final stages.
Olimpija Unable to Find a Response
The home side pushed forward in the second half, but they were unable to break through Bravo's defensive structure. The match remained competitive and tense, with Olimpija trying to increase the tempo in search of a way back into the contest.
Olimpija's difficulties were compounded in the 58th minute, when Stanković was shown a yellow card. Despite their efforts, the home team could not find the goal that would have changed the momentum of the match.
Bravo stayed focused throughout the closing minutes and made sure of the victory deep into stoppage time. In the 90+2nd minute, Mazie scored the second goal to seal a memorable 2–0 win for the visitors.
Perfect Start for Bravo
The result gives Bravo an excellent start to the new Prva liga Telemach season. With three points and a clean sheet, the Ljubljana side moved to the top of the early league standings after the opening round.
For Olimpija, the defeat represents a frustrating beginning to the campaign. The Green-Whites will now aim to respond quickly and look for their first points of the season in the next league fixture.
Olimpija Travel to Mura Next
Olimpija will return to action in the second round of Prva liga Telemach when they travel to Murska Sobota to face ND Mura on Saturday, July 25.
Bravo's next challenge will be to build on their strong opening performance and maintain their place near the top of the league table.
